Soccer fields, kick ball (think Napoleon Dynamite), Great climbing trees and

generally anawesome place for kids to play and adults to relax.

Let's not forget this is a food festival so aside from all the fun activites the star of the day will be the food! This is a traditional Bring and Braai, which means bring your own meat and sides to eat. There are plenty of shaded picnic tables for general use. Tolani and Braaitime are clubbing in to sponsor a Lamb on the Spit. It's just one lamb so it will be on a first come first serve basis. As in previous years, a large pot of pap and sous will be supplied for folks to enjoy with their food. There will also be lots of other South African foods on sale, including biltong, droewors, koeksisters, jams and much more. After the Potjie judging, the Potjies themselves will be opened to all for everyone to eat and enjoy. Stanton Du Toit of Tolani has promised to sponsor us with his famous Rooibos Sangria which went down so well last year. You are encouraged to bring a side or dessert that will go on the communal table for everyone to share. We are working on getting cool drinks and water sponsored by our friends at Peerless Beverage. Alcohol is allowed. BYOB. The meat for this years contest is Oxtail. After the official Judging all pots will be lined up in the food hall and the pots will then be tasted by everyone and judged for the coveted “Scatterlings Trophy” thus selecting the most popular pot winner as well. The contents of the pots become public property at this point and everyone is invited to enjoy the potjies and share in this uniquely

South African culinary experience.
